Just trying some stuff out with PicMonkey! I've been using this site more and more lately, they recently added some new stuff too.  It's easy to work with and basically self explanatory.  The best part is that it's free(for now), so take advantage!  There's all sorts of cool features and the fonts are pretty cool.  It adds a little something extra to your photos.  If you haven't already explored this site, head on over there and try it out!

I often drink Yogi tea, and each tea bag has a inspirational quote on the tag.  I think it's so cool, especially if you're drinking it in the morning and need a little pick me up to get the day started!  The Yogi Inspirations are life's simple truths that are meant to bring out the goodness in you. This was mine for today!
I believe that having courage is a great virtue.  I want to get to know this word better!  I believe that in my life, I have faced a lot of fears, but I want to explore this act a little better and throw myself into trying new and challenging things.  It will be no easy feat, but I will try to do my best to test myself and not be afraid! Stay tuned for what's yet to come! Do you consider yourself courageous? What are fears that you've accomplished?

It's official summer!!  Can you believe that it's almost June?  Memorial Day has came and left and summer is here! Here we go, full force all the way til' Labor Day!! Luckily there are 3 big holidays during the course of the summer!! Here's a little mish mash of the long weekend.  Hopefully it's a great start to an awesome summer!! I'm going to have to really get myself in gear, workout wise if I'm gonna keep eating all kinds of goodies!! Doesn't it suck, when you're supposed to be "beach body" ready and the drinks are flowing and the foods are plentiful?!  Eek!! My summer is slowly booking up, with grad parties, birthday parties, family reunion and awaiting the arrivals of little ones to name a few.  This summer, I hope to be outside as much as possible, enjoy the beautiful weather and be more adventurous!  I can't wait to spend time with loved ones!  Do a little traveling and go exploring.  Of course eating and drinking will be a big part of summer!  Crafting is always a must, hopefully I will have new inspiration to create different things!  Do you have plans for the summer??

The Perfect Pear

This weeks challenge was fruitylicious...literally!  I used a digi from meljendesigns, a very cute pear design!  I love pears!! For this challenge, I used my eclips machine and disassembled the design and put it back together layer by layer.  It took some time, but it was fun learning new things about the program and the machine.  For the card I also used the cricut to make the shape of the card as well as the wagon that the pears are in.  This was a fun challenge and I love that I got to use the digis and that it was pears!!

A little something extra

I've  been trying to include little notes and cards in all of my orders, just to let people know how much I appreciate them patronizing my shop and supporting handmade creations.  I was wondering, what do all of you do for your shops or orders?  I'm always looking for ways to spice up my shop.  I have ideas in the works for packaging and that sort of thing, but still have yet to put them in action.  I love a shop that has great packaging!  Do you write handmade notes or add a little something extra?  I would love to hear what other people do.

Happiness roots from the confusion of sunny rain.  It's pungent everlasting taste that taints your tongue.  The sweet scent and lingering unforgettable fragrance.  The calm feeling as it embraces you with it's warm touch.  The comforts of it's soothing echo as it hits the earth.  The reality of being able to appear on the brightest day, makes it vulnerable and reveals it's tenderness.  It's presence is a delightful mystery, that cannot be categorized.  Happiness is sunny rain!

Home is where the heart is

I have been wanting to do this project for a while now, and finally got a chance to do it.  It was actually pretty fun and wasn't as time consuming as I thought it would be.  For those of you that don't know, this is the island of Oahu!  The heart is the part of the island where I'm from!  It actually looks bigger than it's true size, and I actually wanted to make it a little bigger.  I guess it's all trial and error!?  I went to the hardware store and got this wood circle, took it home and painted it.  While I was letting it dry, I drew out the outline of the island and placed the heart where I wanted it.  Once the paint dried, I transferred the image to the wood circle.  I used pins instead of nails for this first run, it was something that I had a plentiful supply of.  I started hammering the pins around the image, spacing them out not too far and not too close.  Once I had them all where I wanted them, I got my hemp for the island part and started stringing.  It was actually very therapeutic!  When I had it where I wanted it, I moved on to the heart.  For the heart I actually used baker's twine!  I was going to paint the hemp red, but found the twine and decided to give it a whirl!  Still not too sure if I like the pink?!  Still deciding what to change for the next run!  I know for sure, the next one I will make larger to show off the heart better! I will also experiment with painting the wood in different colors and also more than 1 color.  Trying to decide what to use for the stringing part?! Any suggestions?!!
