THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF ANYTHING YOU WANT

This must be a record, I'm blogging 2 days in a row!! YES!! Winning! haha!  I've decide to make a twist on my pinspirations and make a little collage out of them!  I usually grab 7 pinspirations from my pinterest page, and do an entry on them.  This is my January pinspriations!  A little bit of motivation, a little bit of fitness, a dab of wanderlust, a pinch of reading, you get the picture.  I really need to get back into diet and exercise, so this 30 day ab and squat challenge can't start soon enough!  I love the idea of the gift card every paycheck, I think I will need to put them in a lock box so I don't try using it on myself! ahah! I like the idea of getting ready for Christmas throughout the year!  Can't be too prepared!  The reading challenge is something that I try to do every year, but rarely gets done.  I try to read something everyday, whether it be email, online articles, newspaper, magazine, etc., but books is one that I hardly ever get around to doing.  I'm not really into Ereading, I love books with pages, the sound of pages flipping, I like to write notes, make tabs, and my fave is the smell of the paper.  I already have my eye on some books, so first things first is to get to the book store!  The 52 weeks money challenge is something that I tried last year, but sadly I failed and believe me I'm still kicking myself for it.  That's why I am so determined to accomplishing this in 2015!  You set aside the amount of money of the week of the year.  For example, the first week of the year, you put $1 away.  The second week, you put $2 away, and so on, until the last week of the year.  You should have $1378 by week 52!  So far, I'm $3 richer! YAY!  Who couldn't use a little extra money at the end of the year?! This year, I am going to be very money conscious and make it a goal to be money smart.  It's a very hard challenge, especially if you love to shop! eek!  Another pinspiration is to travel!! I hardly travel, and I'm getting to a point in my life where I'm thinking, why the hell not?? Get on a plane and go somewhere! :) I can't wait to see what this year has in store for me!

Falling for Autumn

Hi! Hi! I just wanted to check in, and share a little pinterest love!! I am a sucker for great scenic views!  Since it's Fall, I wanted to share some of these awesome pics that I found on pinterest!!  I love the colors of the Autumn leaves!!! It is so pretty!  I wish in Hawaii, we experience a real Fall season.  We don't really see too much of a season change here, other than temperature, maybe a bit more rain, the sun goes down earlier, and maybe some trees will change a little.  Other than that, it's pretty much the same all year.  Thanksgiving is approaching, and I did already see some mall with Christmas trees up before Halloween.  Ugh! As soon as we know it, BLACK FRIDAY will be here, then we will be hearing Christmas songs on repeat while we're scrambling to wrap gifts to get them out by Christmas day!!  EEK! I will vow to make a noble effort to be as much prepared as possible!  I always start off good, then I kinda peek early, then at the blink of an eye it's the week of Christmas, and I'm still shopping!  All this Christmas talk, is getting me stressed!!

Trees

Hellloooooo!! We've been having some hurricane and tropical storm problems here.  Our neighbor island Hawaii island wasn't so lucky  a couple weeks ago.  They were hit by Hurricane Iselle, and 10 days later some parts of the island are still without electricity.  If anyone would like to help out those affected by the storms, here is some info on how to make a donation.  No donation is too small.  

Since a lot of the damages were from trees being uprooted and knocked down, I've been thinking about trees a lot lately.  Trees are so beautiful, and although in this case they caused a lot of heartbreak, they are really a beautiful part of nature.  This weeks pinspirations are all about the treehouses!  I'm obsessed with the show Treehouse Masters!  It is so awesome!  People are able to create the treehouse of their dreams!  I've seen them do all different trees too, I wonder how they would do a palm tree? :)  I have picked 7 treehouses that caught my eye in some sort of way.  They are all awesome in their own way.  I sit and daydream, of having a treehouse!  With all these hot days we've been having, at night I often think how nice it would be to have a treehouse to go sleep outside in.  On how great it would be to watch shooting stars from a treehouse!  I just think of peace and tranquility when I think about a treehouse.

Summer is slowly coming to an end, and I can only wish for an endless summer, but with the days getting shorter and the wacky weather we've been having, I know that in a blink of an eye, it will be winter!

NEW!

This week's pinspirations are all about the New Year! Things from my boards that I would like to either try or do regularly! 

First and foremost, I would really like to take this blog to the next level!  I made a promise to myself not to neglect this blog and to keep striving to make it a great thing!  I've learned so much from blogging and other bloggers, and feel so lucky to have come this far. Onward and upward!

Another thing that I would like to do more, is to create more meaningful things.  Also things that are environmentally friendly.  I've always believed in repurposing and sustainability, so why not try to practice it more in crafting?! 

Working on my fitness! Ugh! This one gets me every year!! But, yet again it's on my list! It's been a slow start this year, with the weather being so funky.  I will lose weight and maintain it! I will! I will! I will! No matter, if it's a walk around the block, a hike, a visit to the gym, a dip in the ocean, situps in bed, taking a class, whatever it is, I will practice some sort of exercise everyday!

I would LOVE to travel more! This is a big one that I've been lacking the last so many years.  I've decided that I need to just get on a plane and go!  Even if it's just island hoping!  A change of scenery is always good for the soul!  

I really want to change up my wardrobe!  I dream of wearing romantic dresses and stylish clothes all day, everyday! I'm a fashionista at heart!!

I've been trying to cook more often, so this one has been in the works for a lil bit.  I do want to be a master chef in the kitchen! haha! I can dream, can't I?! I do have a  secret passion for cooking and baking, so it is something exciting for me to try to tackle!

I want to always have great hair! I know that this sounds a little vain, but I don't have the nicest of hair, or the easiest hair to work with.  I envy people with effortless, shiny, beautiful hair!  This, like the fitness one, will probably always be on my list.

In 2013, I will do more good deeds!  I try to practice at least 1 good deed a day, but the world could always use more!  Being from Hawaii, The Aloha State we are instilled with practicing kindness in our everyday lives.  It's a way of life here, and I think that if everyone can do more good deeds, it will be contagious and soon enough it will spread throughout the world! 

Here we go with the vanity again! Haha!  I want to always looked polished!  I have really blah, pale skin and people tend to confuse that with being tired or being sick.  I really believe that when people say that you look tired, means that you look like shit?! I don't want to look like shit!  Can you blame me?! So I've been making great efforts to freshen up my skin and try new things to look a little less shitty!  This like fitness and hair, will also be on my list for a lifetime!

These are just a small look into things that I will strive for this year!  Believe me, I have a lot more! What are some of your goals that you are striving for this year?

 Another awesome idea!! Soak strawberries in a container of chocolate flavored vodka for a day or so, then dip them in chocolate! OMG, my mouth is watering just typing this out!

I'll admit that I do watch the Jersey Shore here and there, and I often see them drinking these and have thought to myself, those look so good!

This just sounds good! It's originated from Chef Emeril Lagasse, so you know it must be delish!

It's so easy too, check it out here.  This recipe is cranberry and orange, but I'm sure that you can easily change the flavors to your liking!

I like this idea, because you don't have to worry about shot glasses!  Just juice the limes, pour the shots and salt the rims! It's also very cute looking!

Since the New Year is right around the weekend! Malls already have Christmas decorations up?! The drugstores are selling wrapping paper, and I heard the 1st Christmas song of the season! OMG! Are you prepared for what's yet to come? I am NOT! It feels like I just put the ornaments back in the box and here it's time to start unpacking them again?!  Since this week's theme was centered around the Christmas tree, I figured I'd "pin" some unique trees! So much creativity on Pinterest! These are so fun and creative, I might just try a few for decoration!  I especially love the cork tree! For all you wine-o's out there, that can't find the heart to throw out your corks but really have no use for them, this is your answer! Such a cute idea!!
