3 sisters birthday

Happy hump day! (insert camel voice)...Can you believe it 2 posts in 1 week?! haha! I recently had the pleasure of making these for a 3 sisters birthday party!  It was a bit of an asian theme, so this is what I came up with.  Let me just say that I love this box!! Don't be surprised if you start seeing it a lot more soon!  It is very easy to make, and does save a lot of paper.  This die cut is from sizzix, it is called the scalloped gable! The scalloped tag is part of the die cut, so that is a major bonus!  I found this stamp with 3 asian sisters, I stamped it on the tags and colored them for some fun.  There is chichi dango mochi in the boxes, and I tied them with pretty ribbons!

This was part of the party decor!  I cut out sakura flowers in all different sizes and paired different colors to make it pop! The origami cranes were actually supposed to be an entirely different idea, but with lack of time, I wasn't able to execute the plan.  I went to plan B with these pretty cranes, and just double stick taped them down to the flowers and plopped them to the tables for some extra decor!  It is a simple idea, but it really did make a difference of the overall look of the tables and the entire setup.  I am so happy with how it came out.

Cheers!

Adventure

Aloha!
Once again, I apologize from being sooooo absent from blogging! Summer has fully consumed my life!  I have been crafting here and there.  For today, I just wanna share some quotes on adventure! I haven't done this in a while, and will surely start doing it again!

I hope your summer has been full of adventure!  If it hasn't been so far, there's still time to get out there and enjoy the rest of the summer!

Cheers!

Butterfly wands!

Happy July!! Hope your summer is going great!  Just wanted to share some recent projects.  I've been very busy, and haven't been taking as much pics of my projects as I should.

I made these wands for my besties daughter to give her little friends for her ballet recital.   I really kinda just winged this 1.  Jumped in totally blind, and just went with what worked!   I was so excited to make these and even more after they ended up being cute!  After I was done, I kept thinking to myself why didn't I try making this before?

It was very simple!  I had some left of dowls from previous projects, so I just used those.  I ended up needing more last minute,  so I used chopsticks.  You can get a bag of assorted size dowls for a couple dollars at the craft store or I've even bought it at Walmart. I wrapped all the dowls and chopsticks with grosgain ribbon to jazz it up and make it more colorful.   I used foamies to make the butterflies and Hello Kitty.  I cut the foam with my big shot, using the diecuts.  If you don't have a die cut machine, you can easily trace and cut your own design or even just buy some cut pieces at the craft store or even Walmart.  I glued the pieces together and let set.  After the glue dried, I added a bow to finish it off!

I made her a little ballerina Hello Kitty goodie bag! To go with her Hello Kitty wand!
