Stop and smell the roses

Well sort of, more like look at the lilies!  The point is to take a break and look around you, be grateful for what you have.  I have had a hellish week, well technically a terrible month, year, etc.  What next? Seriously!! I feel like my world is crumbling down around me.  Life has been testing me a lot lately.  With everything happening, the only thing that comforts me is thinking that  things could be worse! I find myself taking time to enjoy the view, the simplicity around me.  That  is what gets me through the day.  I find that nature's beauty has always helped me whenever I'm down.  A drive along the coastline, watching the ocean tumble, the beauty and fragrance of flowers, listening to the leaves rustle, hearing the wind caress the trees as they sway, all of these are natural healing for the wounded spirit.  When you're feeling down, what gets you through the day??

In the back of my head, I keep hearing the saying, when life hands you lemons, make lemonade!  I know that I have to put on my big girl panties, grab life by the balls with my middle finger in the air and just get through it!Photobucket

  2. Hi Kelly, sorry to hear about your bad week. :( On the other hand, I am happy to hear that you're surrounded by beauty. In the least when you go out for fresh air, every thing is pretty.

Crafting is my outlet. It's probably the only thing in my life that I have full control over. When everything is breaking down around me, I can find comfort in knowing that I can make something until it is just right and be proud of it.

Hope things get better for you!
