Sprinkle Some Spring Around

Spring is here!!  I'm working on another Easter treat box!!  This one is a die cut using my Sizzix Big Shot!  I love this box, because it can fit a lot of goodies inside!! I used it for Easter once before, and I made it into a basket by fastening a strip of card stock as the handle.  There is a bunch of different things that you can do with this box, I'm having fun playing around with it.  Notice all my confetti?! :)  This is what I do with all the tiny left over scraps!  I cut them up for confetti!  Sprinkle them around and see people smile!  I think that everything looks better with confetti!  To me confetti just screams FUN!  You can add them to a card, but them in a gift or goodie bag, jazz up a table, I even used it for little party favors for one of my lovelies bachelorette party.  We had them on the table in mini champagne favor glasses, it was so cute as decor. Then we used them to throw around.  We were tossing them in the air and taking "action" shots.  The pics came out awesome!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!  Next week is Easter!! It seriously feels like we skipped February?!  Where did the time go?

Things in this post are smaller then they appear

For this challenge, you may use one, two or all three colors along with neutrals (i.e. black, ivory, tan, white, etc.) If you use all three, add A3 after your name for an extra entry.

This week, we have 2 great sponsors:

For this challenge, I decided to keep it simple!

I stayed true to my pocket cards, but made them mini for this project.  The thought behind this project is that the pocket card is attached to the bag and serves as a either a pocket for a card or a gift receipt for the gift inside the bag.  I made the bag in TEAL, the background in polka dot MAGENTA and the heart in OLIVE!  Also the ribbon handles are 2 different shades of OLIVE.  I love this mini size bags!! Cute and just big enough to fit something awesome inside!  I'm using these for Halloween!! Stay Tuned!!

Wishing your a BEARy Happy Birthday!

I made this simple birthday card using up all my scraps and the last of my critters that I made earlier this summer!  I wanted to match the polka dot look and I just so happened to stumble upon this piece that I cut a while back.  The color matched the theme perfectly! Don't you love it when things like that just come together?!  I still need to work on my stamping skills! I always tend to get one side darker then the other! I added the balloon to make it a little more festive!  The inside is blank so you can write your own special message.  I figure that this salmon, maroon, polka dot combo is not too girly, maybe it could be for a boy too?  I guess to each is own?!!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Frankie Froggy

Made this birthday tag with Frankie froggy! Doesn't he just make you wanna smile back at him?!  I've been making good use of this tiny butterfly punch, using up all my scrap pieces.  I love how the colors came together!  All these pieces were previously cut from other projects and I had them stored in a box.  As I was fishing through them, I pulled these colors out and they worked with Frankie so I put it all together!  Don't you love when things just happen like that?! ♥

Simple Can Always Be Fun!

A simple composition book on sale cost less than a dollar! Of course I bought 10!

Decided to sass them up a little!  I added Hello Kitty scrapbook paper to cover the outside of the book.

I added some Hello Kitty paper tape to the spine of the book to cover up the black edge.

This is the inside of the cover, I made sure not to cover up any important information that may be needed in the future!

I added a scrap piece of grosgain polka dot ribbon for a boo marker.  I glued it down and then covered it with another strip of paper tape to make it look a little more presentable.

This is the book mark in action! Another ribbon could be added, if you want more then 1 book mark.

I had a piece of polka dot paper left over from the lunch bunch card, so I used to to matte the white piece of paper.  I added a Hello Kitty sticker that I had for a little more cuteness!  In a matter of 10 minutes or so, I've turned a simple composition book into something cute and fun! Great idea for kids!  I'm all about making things fun for them, especially school!!
