Thanks a bunch!

Hello there!! It's been  a long time since I've posted a card!  This is a thank you car that I recently made for my aunty!  I've been having fun making this style of card, it is very simple but I love it!!

I folded an accent piece of card stock

I added the sentiment to the "band" part of the card 

The assembly of this card is very simple.  It is basically 3 pieces.  You will need 1 card as your main card, add some die cuts, stickers, draw a picture, whatever your heart desires.  Get a smaller piece of paper and cut it down to at least half of the first piece. Make sure that it's the same width as your main card.  Fold it in half, slip the main card inside the card that you just folded.  Now for the last piece, since it is just an accent, it can just be a strip since it is just an accent.  Wrap it around the entire width of the card.  This piece holds the card together.  You can leave it as it is, or decorate it  like I did.  It will also look cute, with a ribbon or tulle tied around it as well.  You can also add more cards if you'd like.  This design is great for invitations as well.  

To make this card I used the cricut walk in my garden cartridge, and butterfly punch.

Up up and away

It's been awhile since I have posted anything craft related.  Here we are in full Spring! April is here and soon it will be summer! This is a little birthday card that I made for a first birthday party.  For some reason, I have a thing for hotair balloons. I don't know what it is, but they fascinate me. This entire card was made with either punches or cricut cut outs. I love using shades of pink and purple! It's just the right amount of girly.  I hope to one day be able to go on a hotair balloon. It looks like so much fun!

For this challenge, I decided to keep it simple! 

I stayed true to my pocket cards, but made them mini for this project.  The thought behind this project is that the pocket card is attached to the bag and serves as a either a pocket for a card or a gift receipt for the gift inside the bag.  I made the bag in TEAL, the background in polka dot MAGENTA and the heart in OLIVE!  Also the ribbon handles are 2 different shades of OLIVE.  I love this mini size bags!! Cute and just big enough to fit something awesome inside!  I'm using these for Halloween!! Stay Tuned!!

Lunch Bunch

This weeks challenge was to create a project around 3 random words that were selected.  The 3 words were  bee, guitar and lunch.  You could do something with all 3 words or just select 1 or 2 of the words and created something with it.

I decided to use the word lunch and made a tir-fold card.  

This is the front of the card, the image is on the top flap of the card.  I made a hamburger, pizza and soda using the cricut.  I added a piece of grosgain ribbon to make it a little more fun.

 

When you open the top flap of the card, this is the inside of the flap.  The hearts and letters are also using the cricut.  

This is the middle of the inside of the card.  The drink is also cut from the cricut, and the sentiment is handwritten with one of my fav white pens!

Lastly this is the bottom flap of the inside of the card.  I thought it looked a little odd plain, so I decided to add more hearts.  This area could be used to write a little message.

Majority of the images were using scraps from other projects, also the ribbon was left over from the Mickey Party and some other projects!  Nothing goes to waste!

Tuesday Alchemy challenge is based off of this card.  You must use 3 of the items either vertically, horizontally or diagonally.  Great idea!! Pretty much sky's the limit just as long as you incorporate these items in your project.

 I used dies/punches, ink and blings to create this card.  Luckily everything was cut using the cricut's pagoda cartridge.  I wanted to try something a little different this time, by using the two cards.  I used the darker pink for the main card and the lighter pink as an overlay card.  I inked the lighter pink card with gold ink to give it a speckled look.  I cut the fence in the background and inked it with gold to give it a little more dimension, then glued it down to the dark pink card.  Next, I cut the light pink card with the flower middle and place it over the fence to create an inner image.  The bamboo image actually comes out all together, I cut it in half and put it on both sides of the card to create a little more balance.  Next I cut the dragonflies in different sizes and colors, and placed them to look a little more whimsical.  Lastly I added the blings to the bamboo and the dragonflies to give it a little more pop!  The inside is blank, making it great for any occasion.  All in all, I think it came out pretty good for an experiment card!  I will try doing more cards like this and see what happens.
