Up up and away

It's been awhile since I have posted anything craft related.  Here we are in full Spring! April is here and soon it will be summer! This is a little birthday card that I made for a first birthday party.  For some reason, I have a thing for hotair balloons. I don't know what it is, but they fascinate me. This entire card was made with either punches or cricut cut outs. I love using shades of pink and purple! It's just the right amount of girly.  I hope to one day be able to go on a hotair balloon. It looks like so much fun!

Sakura Garden

Here's another lollipop garden, but this time I made them in sakura or cherry blossom flowers.  I even embossed the little bags with a tiny sakura pattern.  I used all different shades of pink, because this was for a baby shower!  I love how these came out!! I want to make more!!  Just looking at them, makes me smile!!

What's up for the weekend?  The weather has been a little wonky over here!  It's all over the place!  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Smile it's SPRING!

Field Goal!

The Super Birthday party continues!  This is another favor that I made for the party.  These are boxes of chocolates.  Continuing with the football theme, I wanted it to look like the football field.

I wrapped the boxes with green paper to look like grass.

I cut strips of white paper to look like the yard lines on the field.  Since I couldn't do the entire field, I just went with the center and the 50 yard line.  I cut the #s out with the cricut cartridge Birthday Bash.

I added little hash markings that I made with a hole punch.  This is where, your scraps really come handy.  I know it's not straight, but honestly this part is a lot of work.  I used a toothpick to help me glue the tiny pieces and tried to align them as straight as possible.

Lastly I tied some bakers twine around the box, and added a football(Wrap it up) and a jersey(Wrap it up).  These are just a little bit smaller than the ones that I made for the invitations.  This time I hand printed out MAHALO(Thank You) on the jersey.

Football Favoritism

This is one of the favors that I made for the Go! #85 party! Again, I used the football cutout from the cricut cartridge Wrap it up.  This cartridge is so awesome, because it has a box feature! It is so simple to assemble this box, and the best part is that you don't even need tape to put it together.  It's a one piece design, and everything folds right into place.  I know that the invitations were all shades of purple, but since the Super Bowl is in New Orleans there is sort of a Mardi Gras theme going on too.  That is why these favors are all different colors.  It's a colorful party!
Cheers!

Purple Butterflies

Short post today, just wanted to share a little something that I made.  I was asked to make a banner for a friend that was having a baby shower for her friends.  The theme was butterflies and purple!  What a sweet combo! This is what I came up with, sweet and simple!
Hope you're having a nice Sunday!!

Hello Kitty Tag

Earlier in the summer, I made a bunch of different critters and other cutouts with the cricut.  I made some Hello Kitty for back to school books and memory game cards.  Since I had some left over items, I've been using them for cards and tags.  I used Hello Kitty paper tape same as I used with the composition books.  I recycled the ribbon from a banner that I made and tie it on to the tag.  Another quick and simple project.  This tag can easily be used for any occasion.

Fruity & Sweet

So sweet!! I cut this watermelon using the cricut.  I really wanted this watermelon to look as authentic as possible, so I used green zebra print card stock to get the lines and colors or the outside of the watermelon.  I used some scrap pink polka dot card stock for the cheeks, and scrap black card stock for the face.  To make the watermelon pop out a little more, I used thick raise double-stick tape to lift it off the card.  I stamped the "so sweet" in black on the scalloped Tiffany blue card stock.  I didn't take a picture of the inside of the card, I used a pink card stock with pinking edges.  I left it blank to write your own sentiments.  This card can be used as an all occasion card.  Super simple and quick to make.

Here is another "sweet" card I made with strawberries! I think I was inspired by the hot days of summer and eating lots of fruits?!  These strawberries were also made with the cricut.  I felt is was a little too plain, so I cut out the "sweet" also with the cricut to give it a little something extra.  I used the thick double-stick tape again for all of the strawberries and the word.  It really does make a big difference in the overall look.  The inside of this card is also blank for writing your own sentiments.  This can be an all occasion card as well.

Hope everyone gets to enjoy some sweet fruit!
