A year later and still trying to rebuild, make sense of what happened and find peace. I saw a segment on the news last night about a family that lost their 16 year old son. They were able to find his body in the rubble and put him in their car and drove him to the hospital. They had an on the spot make shift funeral with some friends and family, with his body inside their car. One year later they finally gave him a proper funeral. The showed what the area looks like now, and it's just open land. Nothing but a road and a field where houses once stood. A year later and a lot of people are still not able to find peace with what happened to their loved ones. A lot of people were never found and are still missing. Just like 9/11, some will never be able to make heads or tails of what happened that day. All we can do is hope and pray that they will one day be able to find peace in their hearts.
This Hello Kitty shirt shown, was an effort to raised money by Sanrio. They made shirts and bags, and donated $10 from every sale to Japan relief efforts. I have both, and not only is it for a good cause, it's so damn cute! I think i might have to use my shirt today!
